SAFETY TIPS

We want you and your family to have a safe, fun experience

  • Always purchase fireworks from a reliable source and never experiment with homemade fireworks
  • Use fireworks outdoors in a clear area away from buildings, vehicles and dry brush. Light one at a time.
  • Always have water (hose or buckets) or a fire extinguisher on hand when displaying fireworks.
  • A responsible adult should supervise all fireworks activities. Never give fireworks to young children.
  • Follow label directions carefully and use common sense.
  • Don’t stand over the fireworks while lighting them. Move back quickly once lit.
  • Never carry fireworks in your pocket or shoot them in metal or glass containers.
  • Never point or throw fireworks at another person or stand over a lit firework.
  • If a firework fails to light or completely discharge, wait a few minutes to approach it and don’t attempt to relight it.
  • Completely extinguish all used fireworks with water and allow them to cool in a safe place overnight before disposing of them.
